About Science Is Life

Curiosity, explained.

Science Is Life is a home for clear, curious stories about the forces shaping our world—and the questions still waiting to be answered.

Why we exist

A clearer way to follow science

Science moves through everyday life: in the air we breathe, the technology we use, the ecosystems we depend on, and the ideas that change what seems possible.

Our goal is to make those ideas easier to follow without making them smaller. The site and video channel work together to turn new discoveries into stories that are useful, grounded, and worth sharing.

Science Is Life was created, written, and developed by Mher Hayrapetyan, who has over 5 years of professional experience as a frontend web and mobile developer, and has a unique scientific background as a geologist. My journey with science began early in life, driven by a deep fascination with the natural sciences, particularly physics. This passion naturally led me to choose the profession of a geologist. From 2010 to 2014, I studied at the Faculty of Geography and Geology of Yerevan State University, specializing in the prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits, and in 2016-2018, I received my Master's degree. During my professional career, I worked for many years as a geologist and mine surveyor (geodesist) at major deposits, including the Sotk and Tsarasar gold deposits, as well as the Agarak copper-molybdenum deposit. Later, my path expanded into technology, specializing in frontend programming. Over time, I realized how powerful it would be to combine these two worlds by uniting my practical scientific and geological experience with modern web development. Science Is Life is the realization of that very vision: a dedicated platform built from scratch that shares interesting, grounded, and clear articles about science, space, geology, technology, and other topics. Together with our platform of short-form educational videos, this project is created to make complex discoveries accessible, understandable, and interesting for everyone.
